MEM: Bob & Joanna Graham | South Africa Children’s Resiliency Project

Sub-Saharan Africa accounts for approximately 10% of the world's population, but 70% of all HIV-positive people live there.  In Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe, current estimates show over 1 person in 5 between the ages of 15 and 49 is living with A.I.D.S.

Our Purpose is to...

Build and completely furnish 3 bedroom homes at an estimated cost of $30,000 dollars a piece. Place 6 A.I.D.S. affected orphans into each home and provide their needs until they become adults at an estimated $10,000 a year per home. Place African parents or grandparents who wish to raise orphans into these homes. Help erect and staff a school for our orphans and other needy children in the community after the fourth year of the project's existence. Involve our children in community-based organizations. Build homes throughout South Africa under the leadership of national pastors and missionaries to house A.I.D.S.-affected orphans not located at the Children's Resiliency project.

The Grahams serve as missionaries and do not receive salaries or benefits from the Children's Resiliency Project.
