Dear John DeBrine:
I am the Battalion Chaplain deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2. You sent a CD of a radio broadcast to and I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you so much for caring for a soldier that is deployed. It was very encouraging and I got it just when I needed to be uplifted the most. It is draining being the only person in the Battalion that does what I do, minister to soldiers. But I have fellow Chaplains that help me out when I’m feeling down too. So thank you again for sending that CD.
I just wanted to say that how proud I am to be an American where I know that there are caring people like you who are still thinking about our deployed sons and daughters in harms way. It is because of supportive people like you that we are proud to "hold the line" and protect the freedoms that we all enjoy.
Thank you again for all that you are doing to support the war effort. Please continue to pray for the soldiers of my Battalion, and all the other Coalition Forces deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2.
For God and Country!
Sincerely,
Timothy E. Maracle
