Two Ways You Can Support Songtime
- 31 May 2012
At No Cost To You!
As a non-profit organization, it can be difficult sometimes to emphasize the need for support. Often times, we will get phone calls in the office from people telling us that they wish they could give us more financially, but there are so many other areas that you can support your favorite ministries. Here are two important ones.
1. Pray
Even though we spend a great deal of our time, working hard to pay the bills. We know that our greatest effort is spent in prayer. Every morning, in the office, we spend 30 minutes praying together for our day. We pray over every newsletter, every program, and every need we hear from our listeners.
One of the most important ways that you can support Songtime is to pray. Pray that God will expand this ministry and advance His kingdom. Every day our Songtime program falls on thousands of ears, hearts, and minds. Pray that the message of the gospel will stick, take root, and flourish. Pray that the listener's spirit will resonate with the Word of God as it goes out across the airwaves. And pray that God will bring conviction, repentance, and restoration as a result of great Bible teaching and powerful music.
Pray faithfully, pray purposefully, and pray passionately.
2. Share
We are so encouraged when people call in and tell us their story about how they have been faithfully listening to Songtime for so many years. Many of our listeners even remember going to "Youth Time" when Dr. Debrine was just getting started.
But as much as we love our "Songtime Family" we want to find new listeners. In order to keep growing, we need to get the word out about Songtime. Apart from the people that stumble across our program while driving on vacation, there are still billions of people who have not heard of us.
We may never meet your Great Aunt Sue who lives in Timbuktu, but you talk to her all the time. By sharing what you've learned from the Songtime program, you are not only cementing the powerful life changing message, but you are spreading the word about an amazing ministry.
Now, with the convenience of the internet, people can listen to the program from all over the world at any hour of the day. If you have a "Smart Phone" you can go just about anywhere and still hear the program. That's amazing!
So why haven't more people heard about Songtime?
Maybe, they're just waiting for you to tell them.
